Am I allowed to erect a wooden fence and shed on my plot?

We would like to erect a wooden fence and a shed on our plot. What is the exact ruling on this? We don’t want to get into trouble with our park owner or the local council.

Information regarding fences and sheds and the layout of the caravan site can be found in the site licence. The site licence should be based on Model Standards which are issued from time to time by the Government. New Model Standards were released by Government last year but there is a discretion for your local authority to implement them or not.
The site licence must be on display, in clear view, for anybody to inspect. However, if it is not you should obtain a copy from your local authority.

If you need any direct help with any documents or a draft constitution, you can call our legal helpline on 01275 373762, fax 01275 371789, email specialist@phlslaw.co.uk or visit www.phls.net
