Park Home & Holiday Caravan garden competition

Gardeners World Show 2009

If you think your park home has a great garden, why not enter our Park Garden of the Year 2009 competition? Don’t be shy, we’re not looking for gardening professionals, we want to hear from any readers who take time to make their gardens look lovely. We have some great prizes, so don’t delay

Making a great park home garden is a unique challenge. Plots are usually compact and there can even be restrictions on the sizes of trees or shrubs that are planted. With this in mind, we are constantly surprised by the colourful displays and unusual garden designs that some green-fingered residents put together outside their homes.
We’ve teamed up with Thompson & Morgan to start the search for Britain’s best park gardens. So, here’s the chance for you or your park to grab the limelight!

Plot Idol
The first category is for Best Individual Plot. This accolade will go to the resident, or residents, our judges deem to have the best individual plot. Size isn’t an issue, nor is type of garden, you simply need to have something that grabs our attention. If your garden doesn’t quite cut it, why not nominate a neighbour, to give them a chance to win?
The prize is £200-worth of plants chosen by our sponsors Thompson & Morgan, so ensure you send us any photos and a brief description of why you think you should win.

The bold & the beautiful
Up next is the Most Beautiful Park. For an entire park to look good, it takes a lot of hard work and community spirit. Why not reward yourself and your neighbours with the chance to win a £100 Thompson & Morgan gift voucher?
Your park needs to boast several attractive gardens, and might have communal grounds and/or any distinctive feature that makes your park stand out from the crowd.
More prizes to be won
The awards detailed below give you more chances to win an award. Plus winners will also receive a £50 National Garden Gift voucher.

Most memorable garden feature
A garden feature can transform any garden. To enter, simply send us a photo of your feature. It can be of anything from a tumbling waterfall to a well-placed rockery or even a cheeky garden gnome!

Best kitchen garden

With more attention than ever being focused on food, we reward those gardeners who grow their own fruit and vegetables or herbs and spices. Again, send us in a photo and you stand a chance of winning, regardless of size.
Green fingers, big heart
Not everyone can handle the physical toil or provide enough time that a good garden requires. Some of you, however, may get support from a kind-hearted neighbour or friend. This category is your chance to say a big thank you!
Write in and tell us about your green-fingered friend and they could win the £50 voucher.

How to enter
Simply send your entry to us at: Park Home & Holiday Caravan Magazine, IPC Media, Leon House, 233 High Street, Croydon CR9 1HZ. Alternatively, e-mail: kathleen_retourne@ipcmedia.com.

Make sure you clearly state the category you are entering and attach any photographs

Standard IPC terms and conditions apply. Closing date: 5th August 2009
