Six Bells Park, Ashford

Help Me Find ...

We explore two Ashford parks with Mike and Yvonne, from London

Mike and Yvonne Weller, of south London, want to find a park home in Ashford, Kent, for around £220,000.

We can afford...
At this stage, as with so many couples planning ahead with retirement in mind, finances are still under review. But for our purposes a figure of £220,000 was decided on as a starting point.

Six Bells Park
Family run, it is located right at the centre of Woodchurch, a traditional Kentish village lying on the edge of the Low Weald in the Garden of England. Woodchurch can date its roots right back to the 13th century.

Ww just had to choose
Six Bells Park
As a Londoner, I value and enjoy the countryside. Yvonne does too. But we wouldn't want to live right in the middle of it. That's why, of the two parks, we prefer Six Bells: it's in the heart of the village and that's a big advantage. Also it's within easy reach of Ashford.

Other parks we considered
Woodlands Estate
A rather larger park with 89 plots at Blean, a few miles north of Canterbury, on the Whitstable road. But it's even further away from Ashford.

Longbeech Park
Part of the Haulfryn group, this park is close to the village of Charing, north west of Ashford and right on the edge of the North Downs. Reasonably close to Ashford but without the advantages of Six Bells.

Bluebell Woods
At Broad Oak near Sturry, north east of Canterbury. It's part of the Fox Hunter parks group, with 74 plots but no pets allowed. Even further away from Ashford?
