Five great Newquay parks, essential city info plus reasons to make the move

View the Newquay gallery

A mild climate, beaches second to none, cliff-top walks galore and excellent amenities plus the magnificent Cornish coast make this West Country town a natural choice.

Surfing capital of Britain
Surfing is an all-year-round activity here for everyone from eight to 80 with lessons and equipment available if needed. Or you can just sit on the beach and watch?

Holiday resort
This is a major tourist destination (as well as a fishing port), with all that means in terms of entertainment, eating establishments, watering holes and night life. So plenty of action!

Walker's paradise
The c500-mile-long South West Coast Path, which runs right through Newquay, provides some of the best walking in the country along with some of the most magnificent views in the UK.

Life's a beach
And to prove it, with sand galore, there are no fewer than ten here, including Watergate Bay and Crantock Bay, which rank as being among the best beaches in Britain.

Wonderful weather
The combination of being relatively so far south plus the influence of the Gulf Stream on the Cornish coast makes this a very mild place, weatherwise, all year round.

Garden of Eden
It's not quite that but the Eden Project, a garden as big as 30 football pitches, is only a short drive away. The beautiful Isles of Scilly, reached by helicopter, are even closer in flying time.
